Zeus Orphic Hymn Lyrics
Zeus, great and famed,
Zeus, strong and named,
We pray and plead,
Hear us, set us free.
From your head sprang the earth,
High hills and sea had birth,
Sky above and all around,
In your power they are found.
Son of Cronus, you hold the rod,
With light and thunder, you are the god.
Strong of heart, you make things grow,
From start to finish, all in a flow.
You shake the earth, make it rise,
Cleanse and rule, under the skies.
Flash and roar, strike with might,
Provider of day and night.
Hear us, Zeus, of many forms,
Grant us health, away from storms.
Goddess Peace, wealth so bright,
All untouched, shining light.
Father of gods and all men,
Joyfully hear our call again.
Help our mind, make all right,
Bring joy to soul, day and night.
