The inspiration for this song came on a hot August afternoon in 2023.
We had all gathered at my humble house in my village, surrounded by friends and family. Sharing laughter and relishing the simple joys of life, over lunch.
But as the day wore on, tragedy struck like a thunder in our heart…
After lunch, all went home….except…
News reached us that one of our closest friends Anastasia, had suffered a sudden heart attack…
The shock rippled through our souls, leaving us numb and bewildered.
The weight of grief pressed down upon us like an unbearable burden, especially knowing that our departed friend, left behind a precious 4-year-old daughter now faced with the daunting prospect, of growing up without her mother.
I found solace in writing those lyrics….
In just 50 minutes, the melody and lyrics took shape…
A tribute to our dear Anastasia. Whose memory would forever be etched in our hearts.
With tears, I offered my heart in this song. Penning down the raw emotions that consumed me in those sad moments.
And so, with a heavy heart and tearful eyes, I dedicate this song, None Of Us Knew, as an offering to the beautiful soul we lost too soon.
Anastasia was 43 years old…
