Hermes Orphic Hymn Lyrics
Hear me, Hermes, mighty guide,
son of Zeus, with wings so wide.
Swift and bright, with clever ways,
guide of men, through night and day.
You delight in tricks and play,
with your snake, you lead the way.
You explain and help us gain,
trade’s protector, ease our pain.
In your hands, peace you hold,
blessed one, with tales untold.
Herald, bringer of good deeds,
friend in need, who swiftly speeds.
Tongue of power, words so true,
hear my prayer, kind and new.
Grant a life with joy and peace,
work and words, let cares cease.
With memories sweet, at life’s end,
Hermes, guide and faithful friend.
